Apple Picking

Sometimes you just need to leave the noises and smells of the city and escape to the country.

Geoff, Maura, Mitch and I decided to be festive and engage in the classic Autumn activity of going apple picking, so we made the short drive up to Cider Hill Farms in Amesbury, MA.

We grabbed a couple bushels and a stick for reaching the apples all the way at the top and headed over to the orchard.

With our apple grabber and Maura's milkbraids, she and Mitch very closely resemble this famous painting...

I continued to annoy the group by documenting every apple in the orchard... for posterity of course.

The ones at the very top are always the best, no?

It helps to be 6'2"...

It was the perfect fall day. After one to many cups of apple cider, apple donuts and bags of kettle corn, we called it a day... but not before picking up a pumpkin or two.

What are your favorite fall activities?

    1. It looked like it was going to rain all day, but it remained overcast which make for the best pictures!

  5. I've never really thought about apple picking before. I've done strawberry and gooseberry, but apples would be must easier. Love it x
